Dear Customer,
Spring is here and we're going green! We have replaced the paper towel dispensers in the restrooms with air dryers. This will save almost 2.25 million feet of paper and 3,000 bags of garbage each year, as well as keep our restrooms cleaner.
It's also time to think about Spring Break Camps--hockey, soccer and science are all available.
And we have a number of events coming up in April including a Spring Fest, Shred Day and Blood Drive.
We are pleased to introduce Sheila Ellison, best-selling author, teacher and college application coach. If you have a high schooler, be sure to check out the information on College Application Essays, below.

| Spring Break SCIENCE Camps for Pre-K Through 5th Grade |  Join Schmahl Science Workshops at Silver Creek Sportsplex this spring - where kids explore and invent what they imagine! This spring your children can explore the science behind the CSI Forensics (Crime Scene Investigation) television series from CBS and learn the fundamentals of engineering in the tradition of Leonardo da Vinci!
In our PRE-K through 1st Grade Engineering series, younger campers experience how science comes to life in their everyday world. Your children will learn about liquids, solids and dyes; investigate the properties of air and parachutes; and much more!

| First Focus Learning Systems ~ Reading Programs |  The First Focus Reading program teaches reading using phonics and the most logical set of reading concepts to empower children to read. These concepts have been crafted using each building block of information of how the English Language works. This knowledge is placed on "Charts" where the child can check information and feel grounded and confident in their ability to read.

First Focus Learning Systems will also be conducting an exciting series of one week JumpStart Summer Camps starting July 5 through August 12, 2011. The program includes an academic morning session (9:00 AM-12:00 PM) with a separate afternoon session starting with lunch (Noon-1:00PM) , followed by a fun filled enrichment program.(1:00-4:00 PM). You may choose just morning or afternoon sessions or both. The JumpStart morning sessions are designed to prepare students with specific skills necessary for PreSchool through the fourth grade. All classes are designed to offer a fun and effective learning experience, with no homework!

| Family Fun Soccer League ~ starts April 16 |  Kids and parents play on the same team!
The new session will begin on Saturday, April 16. Children under 18 MUST have aparent participating. Children over 18 can only participate if a sibling under 18 is playing.

| Free Mighty Cubs Trial Class ~ April 9 |  We will be holding a free trial class for the Tigers II age group (36-52 months) on Saturday, April 9. | Parents' Night Out ~ April 22 |  Enjoy an evening away while your children play in the Playcare at Club One at Silver Creek Sportsplex!
Friday, April 22nd, 5-9pm Ages 3-12 $30/child Club One member, $35/child non-member ($25/sibling Club One member, $30/sibling non-member)
Parents can enjoy an evening away while the children play. Dinner will be provided. This month's theme is "Night at the Hundred Acre Wood" and children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Winnie the Pooh character. Ages 3-12 years.*Advanced registration is required. Drop-in childcare is not available during event.

Did you know? Playcare at Club One is open for parents participating in sports, watching a game, or enjoying a meal at High Five at the Plex!
Playcare Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-1pm & 3:30pm-9pm
Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8am-1:30pm
Cost: $6/hour Club One member; $7/hour non-member
Club One members can make reservations up to 3 days in advance and non-members can make same day reservations by calling Playcare at 408-574-2407. Drop-in childcare is on a space available basis only. Playcare agreement must be filled out before entry. Socks are required for play. Parents must stay in building at all times while children are in Playcare.
