Programs for Kids

From infants to toddlers to high school seniors, Silver Creek Sportsplex offers something for every kid. Each of our partners offers programs for young people. For your convenience, we've created this overview to help you locate the ideal programs for your children. Click on any of the links to go directly to the details on the partners' own web sites.

Roller Hockey – at Rollin' Ice

FREE instructional classes - Never played hockey before? Our FREE instructional classes on Saturday mornings are designed to help kids learn the basic skills of hockey and gain confidence. No gear? No problem! We have it all available for rental or purchase.

under 4 - under 7

Cubs/Atoms - a FREE instructional league! One practice and one game per week; our outstanding coaches help children learn basic skills and develop a love for the game. Membership fee required.

7 - 17
Recreational Youth Leagues - Players are grouped into divisions by age. A great way to develop hockey skills, stay in shape, and have fun.
7 - 17 Pickup hockey - for players who want a little extra rink time on holidays and after school. Call ahead to reserve a spot, then come and scrimmage.
High School students High School League - A high school "club" sport. This is not an accredited high school sport.
The whole family Open skating - Come and skate to music! Skates (and optional helmets) are available to rent. The schedule varies a little from week to week so please check www.rollinice.com or call ahead.
Early Childhood Development – Mighty Cubs

18 months - 6 years

Mighty Cubs - Mighty Cubs is a complete child development program. We use sports themes to help focus on physical development; a variety of fun, non-competitive games promote physical fitness, motor skills development, and self confidence.

Indoor Soccer – at Striker's Den

Mighty Cubs - (See above.) Starting at age 3, Mighty Cubs introduces soccer balls and soccer-themed games to help focus on physical development.

7 - 16
Striker's Den Soccer Academy - Providing a positive developmental environment to instill a lifelong passion for soccer. The program provides players an opportunity to refine existing skills and learn new ones. We include a tactical understanding of the game, soccer intelligence and decision-making under pressure. Players learn through interaction with experienced coaches, demonstrations, skill contests, drills and scrimmages.
High School students High School League - The High School League has started and continues grow! We will continue to add teams through the end of our inaugral season.

Martial Arts – at Striker's Den

All Ages

Promotional offer: Sign up for a yearly Striker's Den membership and trade in your 20 credit punch card for one (1) free month of any martial arts programming offered. Come as often to as many classes as you like (a $195 value).

Ages 3 - 5 Mighty Cubs: Children are taught the basic principles of martial arts. They work on social skills, listening, and learning in a fun but structured environment. The basic tenets of class are 1) Pay attention 2) Focus 3) Respect.
Ages 6 - 12 Juniors: Children can choose from a number of different Grappling and Striking Martial Arts programs. This age group also includes some activity classes geared more toward daily competition; more like a scrimmage than a practice.
Ages 13 - 17 Teens and High School Students: Come get some great exercise, and learn some good values: hard work, respect, and discipline while you get to wrestle, grapple or spar others grouped by age and size.
The whole family Family classes will be added as soon as there is enough interest. These classes let the whole family enjoy warming up, stretching, working out, and learning lessons together. A family who trains together stays together!
Adults Adults will have the choice between fitness-oriented martial arts classes as well as programming based on self defense, including Total Body Fitness, Combat Cardio and H.A.N.D.S. All classes allow you to sweat it out and improve your skills at the same time.

Sprouting Yogis (Level 1) & Yoga Warriors (Level 2)

Classes start March 8 and run 6 weeks until April 12.

  • Sprouting Yogis (level 1): Saturdays, 9am – 10am
  • Yoga Warriors (level 2): Saturdays, 10am – 11am

Cost: $130 per session
Registration is required.

Active Learning – Math and Reading – Pinecone Learning Center

For ages 3 and up – Individually tailored programs for full mastery of math and reading concepts. Students of all ages and abilities gain confidence, improved focus, concentration and study habits as they progress through their assignments. The progress is faster than in school (because it is tailored and it is daily) and offers the opportunity to become advanced regardless of initial starting point.

Daily assignments and twice weekly classes: drop-in basis on Tues. & Thurs from 3-7pm. Students are in class about 20-30 min per subject and can read in our library area while waiting to be picked up.

  • Monthly tuition: $140 math/ $160 reading/ $280 both
  • Registration Fee $65 (including placement testing,
    opening kit and all learning materials).
  • Family discounts available; no contracts required.

6 weeks - 12 years Jungle Playcare - Our 8,000 sq.ft. Playcare features a hands-on environment. The infant area is for infants 6 weeks up to 3 years old with developmentall appropriate toys and activities. A 3-story climbing structure, jungle animals, spinning bikes, air hockey, a half basketball court, and more keep everyone happy! Parents must be on site at Club One while children are in Playcare.

AGE 2-5 Movement for Children
Classes are highly interactive to enhance your child's trust in his/her own creative expression. Each week will have a theme, incorporating movement, dance, expression, and music. This class stimulates creativity, self-confidence, coordination, and more!
Class duration: 40 minutes
Date/Time: Wednesdays, 3:15pm - 4:00pm

AGE 6-8 Ballet
The foundation of all other dance forms - this class will increase your child's strength, flexibility, coordination, and elegance. The class will consist of warm-ups and stretching, bar work, across the floor, and a routine. Unlike a traditional ballet class, we will not only use classical music, but a variety of age appropriate genres to stimulate musicality and dance expression. Ballet also requires proper posture that will stay with children as they leave class.
Class duration: 55 minutes
Date/Time: Wednesdays, 4:00pm - 5:00pm

AGE 9-13 Ballet/Jazz
This fun and energetic class will utilize both ballet and jazz techniques to increase strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and rhythm. Class will consist of warm-ups, strength exercises, center work, across the floor, and routines.
Class duration: 55 minutes
Date/Time: Wednesdays, 5:00pm -6:00pm

AGE 9-14 Hip Hop
Hip hop consists of individualized dance steps put together to create quick dance combinations set to age appropriate popular music. Students have so much fun, they do not even realize they are learning one of the most complex dance forms around! Dancers are challenged with increasing complexity in movement and skills.
Class duration: 55 minutes

Sports Camps

7 - 14

We're offering our very popular Summer Sports Camps again! Choose a core sport (roller hockey or soccer) for expert coaching; enjoy lots of other activities as well!

Parties

LOL Parties - The party place that has it all! Custom designed giant inflatables; human hamster balls; a private event room for the entire time; soccer, volleyball, dodgeball or football on our indoor fields; awesome food options from pizza to a full catered buffet.

Family Movie Nights
